LM Capital Group, a San Diego-based fixed income investment manager for institutional clients, has been selected by Attucks Asset Management to manage a USD18m Opportunistic Core (Core Plus) fixed-income portfolio as part of their emerging manager of managers programme for a major public pension fund.

LM Capital’s Opportunistic Core (Core Plus) portfolios are comprised of treasuries, agencies, investment grade (BBB/Baa2 min or better) corporate issues and mortgage-backed securities.
In addition, LM Capital opportunistically invests in the following three sectors: US dollar denominated emerging market debt (0-20 per cent), US high yield (0-10 per cent) and non-US dollar denominated debt of sovereign and corporate issues (AA-/Aa3 min) from industrialized nations (0-10 per cent), with the total allocation to these sectors never exceeding 30 per cent.
