Independent wealth manager London & Capital has made two additions to its growing Institutional team. The specialist division, which manages the wealth of Captive Insurance companies – in a sector which is far from heavily covered within the UK marketplace – has appointed Jose Seijido as Executive Director and Jonathan Matthews as Institutional Client Services Manager.
Seijido has some 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Having started his career with London based IFA Chase de Vere, Seijido then held a number of senior international roles with the Zurich Financial Services Group, with responsibility for Scandinavia, EMEA and the Americas whilst Head of Independent Life Distribution and Corporate Solutions. He joins from the Swiss Life Group, where he was Director for the Americas in the Global Clients & Emerging Markets Division, and a member of the Management Committee.
The second appointment is internal. Matthews, a portfolio manager with London & Capital, brings both client management experience and an accountancy background to his new role in the Captive division, where he will continue to have portfolio management responsibilities.
The London & Capital Institutional team manages assets on behalf of a growing client-base, with AUM standing today at approximately USD600m. William Dalziel, Head of Captives, and a Partner with the firm, expects this figure to rise significantly over the coming year and comments on the expansion of his team:
“Interest in our bespoke Captive portfolios is reaching new highs – testimony to our strong focus on capital preservation and our commitment to providing the highest-quality tailored service standards. Jose and Jonathan bring real value to our team, and their appointments are timely, enabling us to maintain our reputation for first class service, and to provide our clients with hands-on support, right across our portfolio.”
