Loomis Sayles partners with Nordea on global equity distribution

RELATED TOPICS

Loomis, Sayles & Company has formed a partnership with Nordea Investment Management to manage Nordea's Global Opportunity Fund.

Nordea will distribute both the fund and the institutional strategy throughout the UK and Europe.

Nordea's Global Opportunity Fund is an actively managed, high-conviction, large cap, global strategy with typically 45 to 65 holdings. The fund is co-managed by Eileen Riley and Lee Rosenbaum of Boston-based Loomis, Sayles & Company. Loomis Sayles is an affiliate of Natixis Global Asset Management.

Loomis Sayles' global equity strategy was recently awarded a USD220m mandate from Cumbria County Council, a local government pension scheme in the UK, bringing its global equity opportunities platform to over USD1.50bn in assets under management.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Nordea to deliver our global equity strategy to the UK and European marketplace given their breadth, scale and top-notch reputation. Nordea is known for working closely with best-in-breed asset managers to offer investors around the world compelling investment strategies," says Robert J Blanding (pictured), chief executive of Loomis Sayles. "We look forward to serving investors through this unique partnership."

The fund seeks to generate alpha through bottom-up stock selection based on fundamental research and a disciplined investment approach. The portfolio managers collaborate closely with in-house research staff to find quality companies expected to grow intrinsic value and that trade at attractive valuations.
