MaplesFS makes strategic hires in Bermuda

RELATED TOPICS

MaplesFS, an independent global provider of specialised fiduciary, fund administration, entity formation and management, insurance management and trust and private client services, has appointed Christopher Tribley as Senior Vice President and Orchid Lee as Vice President in Bermuda.

Tribley (pictured), brings over three decades of financial services industry experience and has previously held supervisory roles with the Bermuda Monetary Authority as an Assistant Director, where he was Head of the Investment Group responsible for supervising some of the largest investment groups operating in Bermuda. He also has extensive experience in the provision of investment management services to institutional, family office and high net worth clientele. He received a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Acadia University in Canada and is a CFA charter holder.

Lee joins MaplesFS with over 15 years of experience in private and corporate trusts, including unit trusts, estates, mutual funds, regulatory compliance and corporate governance. She has previously served in various legal and compliance roles with well-known financial institutions in Bermuda and law firms in the Cayman Islands. She received a Bachelor of Arts with joint honours in Law and Economics from the University of Kent in the UK and is a Barrister and Solicitor-at-Law of England and Wales, the Cayman Islands and Bermuda. In addition, she is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”), the Caymanian Bar Association, the Bermuda Bar Association and Lincoln’s Inn.

Following MaplesFS’ receipt of an unlimited trust license in Bermuda earlier this year, the firm has steadily built its business around the provision of independent trustee services to alternative investment funds established as unit trusts, charitable trusts and private wealth trusts. Both Mr. Tribley and Ms. Lee will be responsible for cultivating existing client relationships and expanding opportunities for continued growth of MaplesFS in Bermuda. Their appointments come in conjunction with MaplesFS’ move into a newly appointed office space in Hamilton, further underscoring the expectation for continued growth and opportunities in Bermuda.

“The quality of our professional staff has been the cornerstone of our business and has ensured the continued delivery of the highest levels of service and support to our clients,” says Peter Huber, MaplesFS’ Global Head of Fiduciary. “We are confident that the addition of Chris and Orchid and the expansion of our physical office space will enable us to maximise our potential in Bermuda.”
