Index provider MerQube has appointed Julien Chuard, JPMorgan’s Head of Institutional QIS Structuring, as a Senior Vice President and Head of Products.
Chuard will be responsible for creating and distributing products that apply the unique expertise of Merqube’s founding team in building, operating, and commercialising large scale and highly available systems and next generation technology driven indices.

MerQube is a US-based index provider that was launched in 2019 to bring advanced technology and an innovative mindset to a fast-growing space. MerQube covers multi-asset, equities, futures and options, offering design and calculation services for a wide range of complex indices, including thematic, ESG, factor and retirement.
Prior to joining MerQube, Julien’s role at JPMorgan as Head of Institutional QIS Structuring in New York focused on quantitative strategies in the volatility, asset allocation and linear space. For the past 10 years, Julien worked with all types of clients in the Americas to bring new ideas to market.
Julien has also worked across Structuring and Trading roles in Asia for JPMorgan and Societe Generale. Julien holds a master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from ESSEC Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Audencia Business School.
