Monex Europe makes senior hire in Luxembourg

RELATED TOPICS

Commercial foreign exchange specialist Monex Europe has appointed a new Director to its senior leadership team in Luxembourg.

David Brown, who joins Monex Europe with a wealth of experience from senior positions within Royal Dutch Shell’s finance team, will be responsible for growing the business throughout continental Europe.

Monex Europe opened a Luxembourg office in December 2020 and since then has been on a rapid expansion drive. The business already has over 850 clients on board and recently joined the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL), which provides access to a community of 210-plus companies in the local financial sector. With Monex Europe SA’s online trading platform rolling out this month and an ongoing recruitment drive for an expanding sales team, the commercial foreign exchange specialist’s growth trajectory looks set to continue.

Brown says: “I’m thrilled to have joined Monex Europe S.A at this incredibly exciting time for the business. The last six months have seen impressive growth and I’m looking forward to working with the team to continue this expansion well into the future.”

Nick Edgeley, Non-Executive Director and CEO of Monex Europe, adds: “Our continental European operations enable us to serve our clients in a post-Brexit landscape and are a vital part of our growth plans. We’re delighted to welcome David to our Luxembourg Board and look forward to working together to further build the business.”
