Muzinich & Co appoints ex-Schroders man to sales team

RELATED TOPICS

Corporate credit specialist fund manager Muzinich & Co has continued to grow its UK presence with the appointment of a new sales manager, James Tomlinson.

Tomlinson, who joins from Schroders, will be responsible for managing relationships with existing Muzinich clients and for new business development.

Joshua Hughes, Muzinich director of institutional sales, says: “James comes to us with an extremely strong record of developing and maintaining relationships with investors seeking high quality investment solutions. We have been growing our UK sales and marketing efforts over the past few years and James’s appointment is part of that continuing process.”

In the past two years Muzinich has broadened its fund range and seen its assets under management grow to more than USD28bn. In 2012 it launched a UCITS version of its Long Short Credit Yield strategy and last year launched two new funds – the absolute return Global Tactical Credit Fund and Emerging Markets Short Duration Bond Fund.

Before joining Muzinich & Co, Tomlinson spent more than 10 years at Schroders, focusing on business development for the majority of his time there.

Tomlinson says: “Muzinich & Co is extremely well-regarded in the corporate credit sector for its consistent investment performance, focus on capital preservation and innovative new products. The company has ambitious plans to grow and I am very much looking forward to helping the firm bring its award-winning funds and strategies to a wider client base.”
