Small- and mid-cap specialist Tom Livesey has been appointed as an equity analyst on the Marlborough European Multi-Cap Fund.

Livesey, formerly with Palm Harbour Capital LLP, has nearly a decade’s experience in analyst roles, focusing on UK and European markets, and is a CFA charterholder.

He will support manager David Walton, who has delivered top-decile performance since taking over management of the fund in 2013.*

Livesey’s arrival comes as deputy manager Will Searle leaves to take up a new role elsewhere.

Walton says: “Tom is a high-calibre appointment with a lot of experience. The fund has the backing of a wider 16-strong Marlborough European and UK equity team and I’m sure he will fit well. We thank Will for his positive contribution and wish him well in his next opportunity.”

The Marlborough European Multi-Cap Fund has GBP433.8 million in AUM. It is a Europe ex-UK fund, with an emphasis on small-cap companies in developed Europe.
