New York based Basel Asset Management opens Swiss office

Basel Asset Management, headquartered in New York, has opened a Swiss office under the name of BAM Investments AG, servicing Swiss and European clients and supporting fund research.

 

Basel Asset Management manages customised portfolios and multi-manager-funds. The firm, founded in 2003, now oversees USD1.2 billion in assets, along with its Hong Kong-based strategic partner. The group has 20 employees and is registered with the SEC.The clients are mostly European and Asian charities, trusts, pension funds and family offices.

“Our clients have been requesting a local contact in order to get up-to-date information regarding our funds and services,” says Roland Eberhard, founder and CIO of Basel Asset Management. The new Swiss office will also support the fund selection process.

Alexander E Brunner started as Managing Director of BAM Investments AG in September 2011. He looks after Swiss and European clients and supports the fund management team in fund research. Brunner has been a member of the executive team off BrunnerInnvest AG from 2006 t o 2010, where he built the institutional business and was a co-fund manager of a funds-of-funds for pension funds. He was also risk officer of the firm. He holds a Master in business management from the University of St Gallen and is a CAIA charter holder.
