NN Investment Partners has appointed Maureen Schlejen as head of institutional relations for the Dutch market, effective 1 January 2017.

Schlejen (pictured) joins from Robeco, where she gained over 20 years of experience in the Dutch asset management industry.

Martin Nijkamp, member of the management board and head of client group international & strategic business development at NN Investment Partners, says: “Maureen has a deep knowledge of the Dutch institutional market and a very strong track record. Also, Maureen’s profile fits our organisation very well.

“NN IP is investing considerable resources in order to expand its services capabilities, including the hiring of established talents with a thorough knowledge of the market and the needs of institutional investors.”

Schlejen will be responsible for the sales and relationship management for Dutch institutional clients, including pension funds and insurance companies. She will oversee the whole playing field in the Netherlands, including fund and mandate asset management, fiduciary management, DC and the APF.

Schlejen says: “I instantly felt a good fit with the organisation and the people in terms of ambition, capabilities and culture. To me, NN IP is a true Dutch company with pension capabilities at its core. Given the available knowledge and expertise, I am confident that we can further develop the institutional footprint of NN IP in the Netherlands. I am looking forward to meet this challenge with the team and my colleagues.”
