Northern Trust Asset Management has hired Rosina Barnett into the newly created role of head of UK consultant relations.
Based in London, Barnett (pictured) is focused on developing and broadening relationships with investment consultants with particular emphasis on factor investing, environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing, liquidity solutions and custom passive exposures.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, Barnett worked at Fidelity International and BlackRock as a consultant relations director. She has also worked at Legal & General Investment Management and has more than 15 years of asset management experience.
“The UK market is a strategic focus for Northern Trust Asset Management and Rosina’s appointment recognises the important role that investment consultants play in this market,” says Hazel McNeilage, managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Northern Trust Asset Management. “We are seeing both ESG and factor investing growing in importance for UK pension funds – areas where Northern Trust has significant expertise. Rosina’s knowledge and expertise as well as those of our broader team will be invaluable as we deliver these and other solutions to UK institutional investors and their consultants.”
