Oak Hill Investment Management has appointed Mark J.P. Anson as a managing partner and chair of the investment committee.

Anson (pictured) comes to Oak Hill from Nuveen Investments where he was president and executive director of investment services.

Jamie Alexander, Oak Hill co-founder and managing partner, says: "We are extremely pleased to be bringing someone on board with Mark’s investment management expertise and leadership experience. His deep knowledge of investing across asset classes strongly complements our endowment style investment approach and will be of tremendous value to the firm and to our clients."

"I am extremely excited to be joining Oak Hill Investment Management, a premier investment management firm with a talented and deep bench of professionals. I look forward to working closely with the Oak Hill team to construct and manage efficient portfolios for our clients and maintain our results-oriented approach and commitment to the highest standards of client service for which Oak Hill is known," says Anson.

Prior to Nuveen, Anson served as chief executive officer of Hermes Pensions Management, where he was also the chief executive officer of the British Telecom Pension Scheme, the largest pension fund in the UK. Prior to joining Hermes, he served as the chief investment officer of the California Public Employees’ Retirement System, the largest pension fund in the US.

Anson is the former chairman of the board of the International Corporate Governance Network. He also has served on the advisory boards for the New York Stock Exchange, NYSE/Euronext, MSCI-Barra, The Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index, the CFA Institute and the International Association of Financial Engineers.

Currently, he is a member of the board of governors of the CFA Institute.
