Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) has appointed Martin Visairas as managing director, institutional. Visairas will join the business on Wednesday 22 August 2018 and will report into Warren Tonkinson, managing director, distribution.
Visairas, who previously worked at Old Mutual Asset Managers from April 2009 to November 2010, will be responsible for servicing OMGI’s growing institutional client base, as well as expanding the business’s presence in the space by targeting new clients from major financial institutions, private banks and pension funds.
Visairas joins OMGI from Citi, where he has worked since leaving Old Mutual Asset Managers in 2010. As Citi’s global head of capital introductions he was responsible for linking hedge fund clients with leading institutional investors across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to this role, he was AsiaPac head of prime finance, sales and capital introduction. Before his positions at Citi and Old Mutual Asset Managers, Martin held several positions at Merrill Lynch between 2002 and 2008. He started his financial services career at Citi, Buenos Aires in 2000.
