RELATED TOPICS

Pemberton, a diversified credit asset manager backed by Legal & General Group, has expanded its senior management team with the appointment of Antoine Josserand as Head of Business Development.

Josserand (pictured), will join as a Partner and will oversee Pemberton’s Business Development and Investor Services functions. In this newly created role, he will be responsible for the development of the firm’s institutional client base across Asia, EMEA and the Americas. Pemberton has expanded its institutional investor base significantly over the past four years, and includes leading insurance companies, foundations, endowments, pension funds and family offices from the UK, Europe, United States, Canada, Japan and Asia Pacific.

Josserand brings over 20 years of relevant industry experience, most recently from Citigroup where he was Head of International Fund Distribution for EMEA. Prior to joining Citigroup, Josserand was at Pioneer Alternative Investments and AXA Investment Managers, where he developed strong knowledge of traditional and alternative asset classes, and a deep understanding of investor portfolio needs and asset allocation.

Symon Drake-Brockman, Managing Partner of Pemberton, says: “We are continuing to see strong appetite from institutional investors for our strategies and we are committed to developing strong and responsive partnerships with our institutional investors. In broadening our platform, it is crucial that our business development and investor services functions develop in line with that growth.

“Antoine brings to the team a wealth of expertise from leading global financial institutions and is the perfect person to take Pemberton’s strong commitment to investor relations to the next level.”

Josserand adds: “Pemberton is at a very exciting stage, and it is attracting investors from farther afield who see the different opportunities in European credit. Pemberton’s impressive track-record in deploying capital across Europe’s private credit markets is perfectly suited to the growing demands of institutional clients. I look forward to working closely with the Pemberton team to further the firm’s growth ambitions and enhancing our existing relationships while also building new ones.”

Pemberton has also further strengthened its operational and portfolio management team with the appointment of Douglass Welch as Portfolio Conducting Officer. Doug will be based in Luxembourg.
