Premier Miton is to launch of the Premier Miton European Sustainable Leaders Fund on 10 May 2021.
The fund will be managed by Premier Miton’s highly successful European equities team led by Head of European Equities, Carlos Moreno, assisted by Thomas Brown and new hire Russell Champion, who joins Premier Miton later in 2021. This team will work closely with Helene Winch, Premier Miton’s Head of Responsible Investing.
The Premier Miton European Sustainable Leaders Fund will invest in European companies that exemplify long term sustainable growth themes such as health and wellbeing, affordable and clean energy, and technological advancement.
All companies in the portfolio will display sustainable business characteristics and will be analysed on a wide range of ESG factors, for example their contribution to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the environmental and social impact of business and robust corporate governance factors.
Within this sustainable and ESG framework, the investment team will employ their proven approach for seeking companies that can create shareholder value through growing revenues, expanding margins and increasing return on capital, and where the value creation potential, in the managers’ opinion, is not currently reflected in the share price.
Carlos Moreno and Thomas Brown have managed the highly successful Premier Miton European Opportunities Fund since launch in December 2015. This fund is ranked first in the IA Europe ex-UK sector since launch to 31 March 2021, returning 192 per cent versus 71 per cent from the sector.
