Prudential Fixed Income has hired a new senior portfolio manager for its investment grade corporate bond team and added an economist with expertise in Latin America to its global macroeconomic research team.
Filippo Arcieri has joined the corporate bond team as a principal and senior portfolio manager, reporting to principal Rajat Shah and focusing on global corporate portfolios.
On the research side, Francisco Campos-Ortiz has been named Latin America economist, reporting to chief economist Jürgen Odenius, who heads the global macroeconomic research group.
Their appointments are effective immediately.
Arcieri most recently served as co-head of investment grade credit at Hartford Investment Management Company, where he managed more than USD25bn for external clients and Hartford’s insurance company general account.
“Filippo brings extensive experience in sector and industry allocation, and security selection, along with a global expertise, which helps to round out our team,” says Steven Kellner, managing director and head of Prudential Fixed Income’s corporate debt portfolios.
Campos-Ortiz joins Prudential after most recently working as a research economist with the Mexican Central Bank.
“Francisco’s central bank experience brings an important perspective to Prudential Fixed Income,” says Odenius. “His insight adds depth to our research capabilities and will enhance our understanding of policy-making and its impact on local markets and sovereign ratings across Latin America.”
