Pitmans Trustees (PTL), an independent trustee and governance services provider, has expanded its London presence with the appointment of Lesley Peek as manager.

Richard Butcher, managing director, says: “We are very pleased to welcome someone of Lesley’s calibre to PTL. Her wide-ranging pensions experience and technical expertise will be invaluable as we help our clients to address the increasingly complex challenges facing their schemes. Lesley’s obvious enthusiasm and energy are a perfect fit for our ethos and approach.

“Lesley joins the PTL team as a manager in our London office and will work closely with our trustee directors in the day-to-day management and governance of a range of clients, spanning both defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes.”

Peek says: “I am really happy to become part of the dedicated and accomplished team at PTL. I have spent the majority of my pensions career in scheme management and governance, so am looking forward to engaging with clients on their key issues.”

Peek joins PTL with 17 years’ experience in the pensions industry. Before joining PTL, she was secretary to the trustee board at Vestey Group, where she was lead contact on a GBP500 million buy out of one of the group’s schemes and subsequent scheme wind up.

Prior to that she worked in pensions administration for ABN AMRO bank, and over her career has also held several in-house and third-party administration roles for both private and public sector pension schemes.

Her special project experience includes closing schemes to future accrual, liability management exercises and scheme wind up.
