PwC appoints new Financial Services Risk and Regulation practice leader

RELATED TOPICS

PwC UK has appointed Sarah Isted as the new leader of its financial services risk and regulation (FSRR) practice. Isted takes over from George Stylianides, who has led the practice since 2014 and will continue to lead PwC’s EMEA and Global risk practices.

Isted (pictured), has been with PwC for 22 years and a partner for 10 years. She leads PwC’s work helping clients deal with their governance, accountability and cultural challenges and has been part of PwC’s FSRR community for four years. Prior to this, she was head of people for the firm’s UK Assurance practice and before that led the Government and Public Sector Assurance practice in London.

Outside work, Isted is a keen runner and is preparing for a trek in Nepal later this year to raise money for charity.

Isted says: “I am absolutely delighted to be taking on this leadership role and look forward to continuing to work with our talented teams across all areas of financial services. I’m honoured to take over from George, who has led the practice to a great deal of success during his four years of leadership.

“The UK financial services industry has been through a period of great change, and we can expect this to continue in the coming years. I look forward to supporting our teams to help our clients navigate regulatory requirements whilst addressing the changing needs of customers. This is a dynamic industry and I’m proud that our FSRR practice is at the heart of it.”

Andrew Kail, Financial Services leader at PwC UK, says: “I’m thrilled Sarah will be leading our FSRR practice effective immediately. This area is core to PwC’s support for clients and she will bring energy and a great deal of expertise as we help organisations across all areas of financial services make the most of the ongoing climate of change.”
