PwC appoints UK asset management leader

RELATED TOPICS

Paula Smith has been named as PwC’s UK asset management leader effective 1 September 2012.

Previously based in PwC’s Boston office as the firm’s US alternative investments assurance leader, Smith joins the UK leadership team with 23 years’ experience in auditing and accounting.

Smith has extensive experience serving both registered and alternative investment advisers, including performing audits and business advisory projects for hedge funds, private equity funds, fund of funds, and endowment sponsors.

Richard Oldfield, clients and markets leader at PwC, says: “The alignment of our US and UK asset management practices is critical given the expanding global footprint of US asset managers and the growing trend of investments in alternative funds by European institutional investors.

“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Paula on this important career milestone and welcome her to the UK leadership team.”
