PwC Legal has appointed Stephen Richards as a Senior Manager in the firm’s Corporate Group in London. Richards joins from Laytons where he was a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Team of that firm.

Richards has nearly ten years’ experience working in corporate law. He has a broad practice, encompassing corporate reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions, equity investments and joint ventures. Stephen will add to the team’s extensive sector expertise in both wealth and asset management (where he will work alongside recent hire Oliver Williams) and technology – where he joins Thomas Colmer who has recently joined the Corporate Group as a partner

Mark Crofskey, Head of M&A at PwC Legal, says: “Stephen is a welcome addition to the firm as we continue to grow to meet client demand. We will continue to invest in external hires and internal promotions to ensure that our clients receive the world class advice that they have come to expect from us. Stephen is already plugged into two of our fastest growing multi-disciplinary sector groups (Technology and Financial services) and I am thrilled to have him on board”

Richards says: “I am thrilled to be joining PwC Legal and to have the opportunity to develop my corporate practice within such a market differentiator. The holistic offering we can provide clients as part of the PwC international network is unrivalled and the opportunities for growth are exciting.”
