RA Capital Management, the crossover fund manager dedicated to evidence-based investing in healthcare and life sciences companies, announces three strategic, back office appointments.

The appointments are Christopher Wolf as Chief Financial Officer, Derek Meisner as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, and Nick McGrath as Corporate Counsel and Compliance Officer.

The recent back-office hires join a growing team of 45 at the Boston-based firm, which includes an internal group of 18 PhD scientific researchers that help facilitate the firm’s technical and clinical research efforts.

“The hire of these top-tier team members is an important moment in the evolution of RA Capital,” says Michael Calore (pictured), Director of Investor Relations. “We’re continually focused on building out a broad-based institutional organisation to capitalise on the emerging, long-term prospects of investing in development stage biotech. The addition of Christopher, Derek, and Nick to our team advances our ability to provide our limited partners with the legal, compliance, and operations expertise necessary to support RA Capital as a leading healthcare investment institution.”
