Rainer Gruenig to join management board of Plenum Investments

Rainer Gruenig is to become a member of the management board at Swiss investment boutique Plenum Investments.

Gruenig (pictured) has previously held roles in marketing, sales and product development, lastly within the Julius Baer funds unit and before at Zurich Financial Services.

As a member of the management board he will help to propel the growth strategy of Plenum Investments.

He will take up his position on 1 September 2010.

Based in London, Gruenig was formerly head of business development UK for the Julius Baer funds. He joined the company in 2001 as head of global marketing, after having worked for Zurich Financial Services in different marketing roles and as chief operating officer of the legal protection insurance unit in Switzerland.

“With the appointment of Rainer Gruenig we have taken an additional step towards further advancing and securing the position of the Plenum Group as a specialised investment boutique. I am very much looking forward to working together with Rainer,” says Raimond Schuster, chief executive of the Plenum Group.
