Robeco has appointed Nick Keem as Head of UK Wholesale.

In this newly created role, Keem will be responsible for driving the growth of Robeco’s UK wholesale client footprint and strengthening the company’s distribution proposition for intermediaries including banks, wealth managers, and financial advisors. Keem is based in London and will report to Javier García de Vinuesa, EMEA Head of Wholesale & GFI. His appointment is effective immediately.

Keem has over 23 years’ experience in the asset and investment management industry. He joins Robeco from Pinnacle Investment Management where he was Managing Director EMEA Distribution, responsible for establishing and leading the business expansion across EMEA for the firm and its affiliate companies. Prior to this, Keem was Head of UK Wealth Managers at JPMorgan Asset Management, responsible for business development from wealth management clients within the UK. Keem joined JPMorgan Asset Management as Head of UK Alternatives in 2010.

The news follows the recent appointment of Katie Weber as Head of UK Institutional Sales in December 2020.

Peter Walsh, Head of Robeco UK, says: “We are delighted to welcome Nick to Robeco. His wealth of expertise and enviable track record will be invaluable to drive our business development strategy for the wholesale channel in the UK, as well as further build our leadership in sustainable investing among UK distributors. This and Katie Weber’s appointments represent a significant commitment to our UK presence, a highly important and strategic market for the business.”

Nick Keem, Head of UK Wholesale, says: “I am very pleased to join such a well-established leader in sustainable investing. Robeco’s broad range of strategies including sustainable investing, quant, credit, trends & thematic, and emerging markets investing, means we are extremely well placed to support and meet the demands of existing and new UK wholesale clients. To lead and contribute to Robeco’s growth in this market at such a pivotal time is an exciting prospect. I look forward to working with the team.”

Robeco has a long, successful track record of serving clients in the UK and has approximately GBP 10.5 billion in assets under management as at 30 September 2020 from UK clients. As at 30 September 2020, Robeco had GBP144 billion in assets under management, of which GBP126 billion is committed to ESG integration.
