SEI appoints UK advice director

RELATED TOPICS

SEI’s Institutional Group has appointed Alistair Jones as an Advice Director, delivering strategic investment advice to the firm’s institutional client base of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes, as well as charities.

Jones (pictured), will be based in the company’s London office and report to Charles Marandu, Managing Director of UK Institutional Advice.

With over 17 years of industry experience, Jones joins SEI from Schroders, where he spent the last seven years as an Investment Strategist within its Portfolio Solutions team. He previously worked within Aon Hewitt’s investment practice and in the actuarial business at Watson Wyatt.

Marandu says: “Alistair has great experience working with institutional clients from the technical and client-facing sides of the advisory process, and we are delighted to have him join the team. Alistair will add to SEI’s capability in delivering tailored investment strategies that meet each of our client’s particular needs. As defined benefit schemes continue to mature, his experience in designing liability and cashflow-driven investment strategies will be an important strength.”

Jones says: “SEI has built an impressive business managing pension scheme assets in the U.K. over the last decade, and I look forward to helping more schemes benefit from their compelling fiduciary approach. As a leading asset manager, SEI’s attractiveness lies in the company’s ability to provide market insight and seamlessly implement best-in-class specialist managers, giving them a competitive market edge.”
