RELATED TOPICS

Stamford Law, a Singapore-based international law firm, has appointed Justyn Jagger, a senior lawyer in the international insurance industry, to lead its insurance and reinsurance team.

Jagger has joined Stamford Law as a foreign legal consultant and will drive the insurance practice of the firm with his experience in the global insurance and reinsurance industries.

He joins Stamford Law from DLA Piper Singapore, where he was the co-chair of the global arbitration group and head of dispute resolution for South East Asia. He was also a leading partner in DLA Piper’s insurance and reinsurance group, where he worked on numerous insurance and reinsurance claims with particular emphasis on multi-million dollar liability and all risks coverage disputes.

Jagger is presently advising insurers and reinsurers both in Asia and Europe in connection with complex property damage and business interruption claims arising out of the Thai floods and Christchurch earthquakes.

Lee Suet-Fern, senior partner at Stamford Law and a non executive board member of AXA Group, says: “We are further strengthening our firm with senior foreign legal talent. With this move, we are continuing the momentum and entrenching our standing as a force in the insurance and international arbitration space.”

Jagger says: “Stamford Law is highly regarded in the Asian and international legal markets. It provides an excellent platform for any talented Singapore or international lawyer who is motivated by providing excellent legal service to the firm’s clients and wants to build a leading law practice. Stamford Law is ideally positioned to act for clients in the region and is a proven leader in the industry.”
