Skandia adds Emerging Market Debt Fund to Spectrum range

Skandia Investment Group has added the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Emerging Market Debt Fund into its Spectrum range of risk targeted multi-manager funds.

Skandia Investment Group has added the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Emerging Market Debt Fund into its Spectrum range of risk targeted multi-manager funds.

The addition of the GSAM fund aims to further diversify the fixed interest exposure within the Spectrum funds and complements the existing exposure to gilts, UK corporate bonds and international bonds.

Spectrum is Skandia’s range of six risk-targeted multi-manager funds that are designed to match the expected volatility of risk levels three to eight on Skandia’s risk profiling and asset allocation tools. Unlike most funds which are rated on performance relative to a peer group, the Spectrum funds aim to maximise investment returns within set volatility targets.

The Spectrum funds have amassed investment of over GBP300m since launch in April 2008. The funds are available exclusively via all product wrappers on the Skandia investment solutions platform and Skandia’s life and pensions fund range.

SIG senior portfolio manager Ryan Hughes (pictured) says: ‘We are confident that the GSAM Emerging Markets Debt fund will be a valuable addition to the range of Spectrum funds. They have a very disciplined investment process and impressive track record and their addition will further diversify our fixed interest exposure within the Spectrum range.’
