Skandia, part of Old Mutual Wealth, has appointed Scott Goodsir as managing director, UK distribution.

Goodsir (pictured) will be responsible for the sales and distribution of all Skandia products into the UK, including the platform, protection products, investment solutions and offshore bonds.

Goodsir brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Skandia, including 15 years at BNY Mellon.

Most recently, Goodsir was managing director, UK wholesale at BNY Mellon, where his leadership helped establish the company as a top three asset management business in the UK by net sales. Previously he held a number of sales roles within Newton Investment Management and Mellon Global Investments.

Goodsir will report to Steven Levin, managing director and head of global distribution for Old Mutual Wealth, including Skandia, and is expected to join the firm in March.

Levin says: “Attracting someone of Scott’s calibre into the business is a great endorsement of our strategy and ambition.  We are focused on growing quickly into one of the leading investment businesses in the market, and Scott’s experience will help us achieve that.  He already knows our business and many of our people very well through his role at BNY Mellon and will be a great addition to our team.”
