Standard Life Investments appoints head of marketing

RELATED TOPICS

Standard Life Investments has appointed Nuala Walsh as head of marketing.

Walsh (pictured) joins Standard Life Investments from BlackRock where, for the last six years, she was managing director – head of international marketing.

Reporting to Rod Paris, head of investments, Walsh will play a key role in developing, managing and delivering an integrated marketing strategy for Standard Life Investments as the company continues to expand its global footprint.

Paris says: “Since its inception over ten years ago Standard Life Investments has steadily increased its product range, its expertise in different asset classes, knowledge of international markets and its global reach. In the first half of 2009 nearly 80 per cent of the total net new inflows of GBP3.1bn came from outside the UK.

“We believe there is tremendous potential to accelerate this global growth and that Nuala’s extensive experience in marketing and advertising, coupled with her strong knowledge of the asset management industry both in the UK and overseas, will see an ever increasing number of clients accessing our range of institutional and retail products.”

Walsh says: “Standard Life Investments has a superb reputation and I am excited at the prospect of joining the company and contributing towards its continued success.”
