State Street Global Advisors awarded mandate by Italian pension fund

RELATED TOPICS

State Street Global Advisors has been named by the Pegaso Pension Fund of Italy to manage more than EUR60m in active fixed income assets.

Fondo Previdenziale Pegaso is a public pension scheme for employees of Italian gas and electric utilities.

“We are pleased to be working with Pegaso, one of the premier pension funds in Italy, to provide them with a solution that specifically addresses their investment objectives,” says Marco Fusco, managing director for State Street Global Advisors in Italy.

SSgA’s active fixed income team in London will manage the assets.

“We are delighted to have been awarded this active fixed income mandate by Pegaso,” says Bill Street, co-head of the global fixed income team at State Street Global Advisors. “In an industry environment that is rapidly evolving, fixed income managers need to work with investors to tailor transparent solutions that meet their specific needs such as gaining cost efficiencies, access to a wide array of broad market exposures, diversification and liquidity.”
