T Rowe Price adds to equity team

RELATED TOPICS

Independent asset manager T Rowe Price has appointed Colin McQueen to its global equity team.

McQueen, who has almost 30 years of investment experience, joins from Sanlam Investments – formerly Sanlam FOUR – the UK-based asset management investment arm of Sanlam, the South African diversified financial services group. At Sanlam, McQueen led the global equity team, with portfolio management responsibility for two value-based global equity funds.

With effect from 1 July 2019, McQueen will become lead portfolio manager for T Rowe Price’s International Value Equity Strategy. This proposition is currently run by Sebastien Mallet, manager of T Rowe Price’s Global Value Equity Strategy. Mallet, who took on the additional responsibility for the International Value Equity Strategy in July 2018, will work closely with McQueen to facilitate a smooth transition of portfolio management responsibilities.

McQueen will report to Chris Alderson, Head of International Equity and Co Head of Global Equity at T Rowe Price, as well as Mitchell Todd, Co Head of EMEA Equity.

Before joining Sanlam, McQueen was Head of Global Value Equities at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and a global value equity portfolio manager at UBS Global Asset Management – where he was part of a 14-person equity team overseeing USD34 billion.
