Thornburg announces partnership with Active Fund Placement

RELATED TOPICS

Thornburg Investment Management, a privately held global investment firm with USD48 billion in client assets, has announced a new partnership with Active Fund Placement (“AFP”), a third-party marketer based in Frankfurt, Germany.

The firm writes that this strategic collaboration will focus on bringing Thornburg’s flagship global equity income and multi-sector fixed income strategies to institutional and professional clients in Germany and Austria. AFP will serve as Thornburg’s local representative, supporting relationship development, client servicing, and marketing activities across these markets.

“Germany and Austria are home to some of Europe’s most sophisticated investors,” says Jonathan Schuman, head of international at Thornburg. “Partnering with an experienced local specialist enables us to deepen relationships and provide responsive support tailored to the needs of institutional and wholesale clients in the region.”

“There is strong demand in the region for actively managed and high conviction strategies with disciplined risk management,” says Andreas Kümmert, managing director at AFP. “Thornburg’s approach—grounded in fundamentals, unconstrained by benchmarks, and driven by valuation discipline—offers exactly that.”
