Tikehau Capital, a global alternative asset management group, has appointed Simon Males to lead the firm’s UK institutional business.
Based in Tikehau Capital’s London office, Males brings over three decades of experience in the investment management industry, working in institutional distribution roles and in Trustee positions. He will work closely with Carmen Alonso, Head of UK and Frederic Giovansili, Global Head of Sales, Marketing and Business Development, leading Tikehau Capital’s UK institutional business to deliver investment solutions to asset owners, from the firm’s range of private assets capabilities and capital market strategies.

Based in Tikehau Capital’s London office, Simon will work closely with Carmen Alonso, Head of UK and Frederic Giovansili, Deputy CEO of Tikehau Investment Management and Global Head of Sales, Marketing and Business Development, to strengthen the firm’s relationships with UK institutional investors, including corporate pension funds, local government pension scheme pools and insurance companies, as well as the consultant and fiduciary management community. He will also help drive the growth of the firm’s investment solutions that are tailored to UK clients’ portfolio objectives.
Simon joins Tikehau Capital with over three decades’ experience working within the UK institutional market, including leadership roles at global asset management firms such as Legal & General Investment Management, PGIM, Pictet Asset Management and F&C (BMO). Most recently, he founded Carrick Roads Capital Ltd, an institutional consulting and capital-raising firm. Simon also previously served as a Trustee of a UK Defined Benefit pension plan.
Males holds an MBA from London Metropolitan University and several Professional Qualifications, including the IMC.
