TIME Investments appoints new Co-Fund Manager

RELATED TOPICS

TIME Investments (TIME), an alternative investment manager specialising in asset-backed income funds has promoted Chris Cox, CFA to Co-Fund Manager of TIME:UK Infrastructure Income.

Cox will run the Fund alongside Stephen Daniels, Head of Investments at TIME, and continue to draw on the specialist expertise of the wider group within its parent company Alpha Real Capital to enhance the investment process underpinning the Fund through the next period of growth. The open-ended fund provides investors with an opportunity to access the growing UK-listed infrastructure sector. Assets in the sector have historically benefited from consistent income returns, usually with inflation linked uplifts and have capital growth prospects while diversifying away from traditional assets.

The Fund is actively managed and invests in a well-diversified portfolio of 25-30 high-quality asset-backed infrastructure, renewable energy, digital infrastructure, logistics, and social infrastructure securities which offer attractive levels of income, with low correlation to wider equity markets and lower levels of volatility.

Since TIME:UK Infrastructure Income’s launch three years ago, the Fund has delivered a total return of 20.6 per cent outperforming the FTSE 100 which has delivered total returns of just 7.5 per cent over the same period. The Fund has achieved this with lower levels of volatility whilst paying an annualised income of 5.2 per cent.

Prior to joining TIME as a Product Specialist in 2019, Cox worked within the investment team at Brooks Macdonald and Oakley Capital. He became a CFA charterholder in 2015 and has almost a decade of experience in financial services and has invested in or advised on a wide range of different asset classes for clients.

Stephen Daniels, Head of Investments at TIME and Co-Fund Manager of TIME:UK Infrastructure Income, says: “I am delighted that Chris is stepping up into the role of a Co-Fund Manager and his experience adds real depth to the team, particularly as the listed infrastructure sector becomes an increasingly important part of building less volatile investment portfolios.”

Cox says: “TIME Investments is highly respected for its expertise and track record in asset-backed infrastructure investments. I am delighted to work alongside Stephen as we continue to position TIME:UK Infrastructure Income for the next period of growth and leverage the deep sector expertise of my colleagues within the wider business.”
