Turnover at Deutsche Börse’s cash markets at EUR141.2 billion in October

Order book turnover on Xetra, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and Tradegate stood at EUR141.2 billion in October 2014, up from EUR99.7 billion in October 2013.

Of the EUR141.2 billion, EUR132.0 billion were attributable to Xetra (October 2013: EUR90.4 billion). EUR4.8 billion were attributable to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (October 2013: EUR4.8 billion).
 
Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange totalled approximately EUR4.4 billion in October (October 2013: EUR4.5 billion).
 
In equities, turnover reached about EUR119.5 billion on Deutsche Börse’s cash markets (Xetra: EUR113.4 billion, Frankfurt Stock Exchange: EUR2.2 billion, Tradegate Exchange: EUR3.9 billion). Turnover in bonds was EUR0.8 billion, and in structured products EUR1.6 billion. Order book turnover in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs amounted to EUR19.0 billion.


 
A total of 22.9 million transactions were executed on Xetra in October (October 2013: 16.7 million). The average daily turnover on Xetra stood at EUR6.0 billion in October (October 2013: EUR3.9 billion).

The DAX security with the highest turnover in October was BASF SE at EUR6.7 billion. Metro AG led the MDAX equities at EUR671.6 million, while SGL Carbon SE topped the SDAX equity index with EUR176.0 million, and Nordex SE headed TecDAX with EUR455.2 million. The ETF with the highest turnover on Xetra was Deka DAX UCITS ETF with EUR2.4 billion.


 
The electronic trading platform Eurex Bonds traded EUR6.1 billion (single counting) in October (October 2013: EUR12.5 billion).
