Two new partners appointed at Baillie Gifford & Co

Baillie Gifford & Co, the Edinburgh-based independent investment partnership, is to appoint two new Partners on 1 May 2016.

The new Partners will be Tim Garratt, Director in the Clients Department whose responsibilities include clients in the Long Term Global Growth strategy, and John MacDougall, Investment Manager on the Long Term Global Growth team.
 
Peter Hadden, Partner in the Clients Department with responsibility for North American clients, will be retiring from the partnership on 30th April 2016, after 15 years with the firm. As a result, the total number of Partners will rise to 41.
 
Andrew Telfer, Joint Senior Partner, says: “John and Tim’s promotions reflect their strong contributions to the investment returns and service that our clients receive. We are delighted to welcome them both into the partnership.”
