Unigestion appoints new fundamental analyst in equities team

RELATED TOPICS

Unigestion, an institutional asset manager that focuses on providing its clients with a targeted range of risk-managed investment solutions, has appointed Stefanie Mollin-Elliott as fundamental analyst (senior vice president) within its Equities team, covering global small and mid-cap stocks.

Mollin-Elliott is based in London and reports to Bruno Taillardat, executive director and investment director within the Equities team. Stefanie will work with the portfolio managers to assess the risk of stocks in the Unigestion equity funds. She also becomes a member of the Equity Investment Committee.

Mollin-Elliott joined Unigestion from Allianz Global Investors where she was a global emerging markets analyst. Stefanie began her career in 1995 in the Latin American equity research team at Oppenheimer & Co. In 1997, she joined San Paolo IMI as a senior equity analyst, focusing on Southern European TMT stocks, before being appointed to head of European telecom research at ING Barings in 1999. Stefanie has also worked at JPMorgan Cazenove as a small and mid-cap European equity analyst from 2003 to 2006. Stefanie is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Taillardat says: “Stefanie’s exceptional knowledge of the small cap sector will be a valuable asset for Unigestion and our clients. We have an ambitious and growing team researching and implementing new investment opportunities through applying our active risk management approach. We believe Stefanie will be a great intellectual and cultural fit and a perfect addition to the team. I look forward to working with her very much.”

Mollin-Elliot adds: “I am very impressed with Unigestion’s investment process and its approach to risk management. It is an exciting opportunity to work alongside such experienced colleagues and be able to contribute to the continued success of the team.”

Against a backdrop of record low yields and diminishing returns from traditional asset classes, Pioneer Investments has continued to evolve its product offering, providing innovative investment solutions to its clients. For example, Pioneer Investments’ target income range, designed to provide investors with an enhanced income stream garnered over EUR10 billion in assets in less than four years since launch. Pioneer Investments’ high-conviction equity offerings such as the US Fundamental Growth, and European Potential strategies were also amongst the top asset gatherers. On the fixed income side, Pioneer Investments expanded its offering in 2015 with the launch of an innovative global GDP-weighted bond strategy and an Emerging Markets Bond short-term strategy.
