US equity mutual funds saw USD29.9bn outflows in week to 4 March

US equity mutual funds posted an outflow of USD29.9bn in the week ending Wednesday 4 March, compared with a revised outflow of USD18bn in the previous week, according to TrimTabs Invest

US equity mutual funds posted an outflow of USD29.9bn in the week ending Wednesday 4 March, compared with a revised outflow of USD18bn in the previous week, according to TrimTabs Investment Research.

Equity funds that invest primarily in US stocks posted an outflow of USD19.8bn, versus a revised outflow of USD12.4bn in the previous week.

Equity funds that invest primarily in non-US stocks had an outflow of USD10.1bn, versus a revised outflow of USD5.6bn in the previous week.

In addition, bond funds had an inflow of USD1.1bn, versus a revised inflow of USD3.5bn in the previous week, and hybrid funds had an outflow of USD5.3bn, versus a revised outflow of USD2.6bn in the previous week.

Separately, TrimTabs reports that exchange traded funds that invest in US stocks posted an inflow of USD592m, versus an outflow of USD739m in the previous week. ETFs that invest in non-US stocks had an outflow of USD1.2bn, versus an outflow of USD540m in the previous week.
