VG has kicked-off the new year with eight promotions, effective 1 January 2021, as it continues to strengthen its talent base. Following the appointment of several new Directors in 2020, VG has further strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Dominic Coyne and Jodie Gray to Associate Directors. This year Coyne and Gray celebrate their 20th and 15th year at VG, respectively.

Coyne, who recently completed the IoD Certificate in Company Direction, is responsible for managing the funds and Islamic finance team, including oversight of real estate transactions involving Shariah-compliant financing.

Working closely alongside Coyne, Emily Roque, recent graduate of the ICSA Diploma in Offshore Administration, has been promoted to Manager (Regulated Funds) with responsibility for a team specialising in regulated funds and the administration of a broad range of fund vehicles. Charles Carpenter, who recently completed the ICSA Certificate in International Finance and Administration, has also been promoted to Senior Fund Administrator.

Newly appointed Associate Director, Gray, will continue to manage a wealth structuring team specialising in the administration of complex structures and providing services to ultra-high net worth individuals and their families or family office. Jane Hill has become a Senior Manager within the private client team where, using her 30 years’ experience, she will continue to develop the team to ensure that VG’s broad spectrum of clients experience quality service and solutions. ICSA Graduate Member, Anna Heppleston, whose career in financial services began in 2006 when she joined VG as a trainee, has been promoted to Manager. 2020 recruit, Lauren Gamble, has become Senior Trust Officer within the private client team; as a qualified STEP member, Lauren specialises in private trust and company structures holding assets such as quoted and unquoted investment portfolios, residential property and commercial property development in the UK.

Recently appointed Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer, Carina Santos, has also been promoted to Senior Compliance Officer. Carina joined VG in 2018 from the Jersey Financial Services Commission where she developed an interest in the practical application of regulation and its impact on businesses and clients. Carina holds the ICSA Diploma in International Finance and Administration and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.

Congratulating the team members on their promotions Iain Mason, Managing Director commented: ‘We are delighted to announce the very well-deserved promotions of these talented individuals who have strengthened and supported our leadership team. As we continue to evolve and grow, development of and retaining talent remain core priorities to shaping the future of our business’.
