Westlake Securities adds Christopher Casey to investment banking team

RELATED TOPICS

Westlake Securities has appointed Christopher D Casey as a managing director in the firm’s investment banking team.

Casey is based at Westlake’s Austin headquarters.

"The addition of Chris to the Westlake team gives the firm an instant presence in the private equity capital raising space. Additionally, given the recent disintermediation trend of institutions trying to get closer to assets they invest in, Chris’ expertise and global contacts will provide tremendous synergies in combination with our sell-side capabilities," says Randy Finch, managing director of Westlake Securities. "Having been on both the buy-side and the sell-side, Chris is an experienced professional and is very highly regarded among both the universe of institutional limited partners as well as financial sponsors."

Casey’s background includes more than 20 years of capital markets and institutional limited partnership experience with a particular emphasis on the energy, infrastructure and real estate sectors.

Prior to joining Westlake, Casey was on the investment team at Franklin Templeton Real Asset Advisors as an Institutional portfolio manager for its infrastructure and real estate products. Additionally, Casey held positions at Post Oak Energy Capital, a Houston based oil and gas private equity firm, where he led the fund raising efforts for their initial USD200m fund; AIG Global Real Estate, where he was managing director responsible for raising capital for their global property funds; Forum Partners; and Lehman Brothers. He began his investment banking career in the mergers and acquisition group at Bear Stearns in New York.
