Willis Towers Watson has made several senior appointments in its global manager research team.
Chris Redmond has been promoted to the new role of global head of credit and diversifying strategies.
Nimisha Srivastava and Paul Jayasingha have been appointed to the roles of global head of credit and global head of real assets respectively.
Srivastava and Jayasingha will report to Redmond alongside Sara Rejal following her appointment as global head of liquid diversifying strategies in October last year.
Luba Nikulina (pictured), global head of manager research at Willis Towers Watson, says: “We are fortunate to have someone of Chris’s experience and delighted that he is taking on this new important global role. His and the other appointments also provide an opportunity to further evolve our research structure to better align research and portfolio construction so that we continue to provide a sustainable competitive advantage for our clients.”
Redmond joined Willis Towers Watson in 2004 and has held various roles and responsibilities across credit. This included building out direct hedge fund research in discretionary global macro and credit long/short strategies in 2007 and establishing a dedicated illiquid credit research capability in 2009. He currently chairs the Top-Down Research Group, a body responsible for ensuring high quality top-down views are appropriately incorporated and reflected in Willis Towers Watson's manager research process and help direct research focus.
Srivastava was previously EMEA head of manager research at Willis Towers Watson, having joined the credit research team in 2014 as a senior researcher.
Jayasingha was previously global head of real estate within Willis Towers Watson’s manager research function and has been at the company for over 19 years.
Nikulina says: “Since joining Willis Towers Watson, Nimisha has consistently demonstrated her outstanding leadership capabilities and made a significant contribution to the broader business in her role as head of research in EMEA. Her experience working in different countries on both sides of the Atlantic puts her in a very good position to strengthen the manager research team’s ability to combine global views with local context across different regions. Under Paul’s leadership, the real estate team has achieved some exceptional results, as an industry leader in innovation and the creation of bespoke solutions which deliver outstanding results for our clients. We believe that having Paul oversee all activity across not just real estate, but also infrastructure, natural resources and other real asset strategies, will allow the Real Assets team to continue its strong track record of innovation, and ensure clarity of strategic direction across these complementary asset classes.”
Stephen Miles remains global head of the equity stream covering traditional equities, long-short equities and private equity.
