Waystone has announced that it has launched a new Compliance Solutions offering in Hong Kong, writing that the introduction of a new Compliance Solution product expands on Waystone Hong Kong’s existing Fund Governance offering.

With solutions ranging from licensing and registration to compliance outsourcing and mock inspections, Waystone writes that its Hong Kong operation now delivers a more comprehensive suite of services tailored to meet the growing needs of local hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms, as well as bankers and brokers.

Asset managers in Hong Kong are facing growing challenges in navigating the complex regulatory environment, Waystone writes, adding that with increasing oversight from authorities and evolving compliance standards, staying ahead of requirements has never been more demanding.

To address these challenges, Waystone writes that its global Compliance Solutions team – comprising over 100 dedicated professionals across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America – blends deep local expertise with a global perspective.

“Combined with leading technologies and multidisciplinary expertise, Waystone guides asset managers and sponsors through the ever-evolving regulatory landscape, whilst allowing them to focus on their core business priorities.”

Since launching its APAC operations in 2010, Waystone has expanded to four strategic locations: Manila, Mumbai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The company writes that its growth in the APAC region has been truly remarkable, with exponential expansion both in client base and the breadth of service offering.

Sanjiv Sawhney, Group CEO of Waystone, says: “We remain steadfast on our growth journey, continually strengthening our global offering, and today’s announcement is yet another demonstration of that commitment. With Hong Kong being such a key domicile for fund managers in the region, we are delighted to expand our offering and help solve their compliance challenges with the expertise of our highly specialised team.”

Nithi Genesan, Country Head – Singapore and APAC Head of Compliance says: “APAC, and in particular, Hong Kong, has always been a cornerstone market for Waystone. Over recent years, we’ve witnessed significant growth in demand for our services here. The launch of our regulatory compliance solution will not only strengthen our presence in this critical market but also our ability to meet the growing needs and challenges of our clients throughout the region.”
