Miton renames multi asset funds

RELATED TOPICS

Miton has changed the names of the CF Miton Special Situations and CF Miton Strategic Portfolios to the CF Miton Defensive Multi Asset Fund, and CF Miton Cautious Multi Asset Fund, respectively.

In addition to the name change, the investment objective and policy for the CF Miton Defensive Multi Asset Fund has also changed to allow a more flexible approach to multi-asset investing. This will enable the fund managers to invest directly in securities rather than substantially in other authorised funds, which should enable execution to be achieved at a lower cost.

Since assuming responsibility for the Miton multi asset funds in June last year, David Jane and his team have made some key changes to the funds including ensuring the funds can take part in more of the upside as well as protecting capital, and repositioning and diversifying the funds for a broader range of probable outcomes.

They have also reduced the absolute level of risk within the funds, and increased the number of directly held investments which should enable execution to be achieved at a lower cost.

The team focus on capital preservation whilst continuing to take a pragmatic approach so as to increase the range of scenarios in which the funds will perform. They will continue to maintain a focus on the absolute levels of risk within the portfolios.
