Ultimus Fund Solutions launches post-trade compliance app for fund managers

RELATED TOPICS

Ultimus Fund Solutions, one of the largest independent providers of mutual fund, pooled investment and middle office services, has launched uComply, a portfolio compliance application .

An internally developed app, uComply helps fund managers monitor investment portfolios against federal regulations and fund guidelines with a high degree of accuracy while providing flexibility and highly-customisable reporting that managers need. This app is yet another confirmation of Ultimus’ commitment to deliver best-in-class technology for the benefit of investment advisor clients.

Ultimus’ portfolio compliance application, uComply, helps mutual fund managers monitor investment portfolios.

By leveraging Ultimus’ internal application development team to design and develop uComply, the firm provides a more cost-effective, efficient and automated post-trade compliance option to the advantage of client operations. uComply also offers easily customisable options for Ultimus clients, such as personalised reports and deliverability. In addition, the application offers better data control, user flexibility, and faster turnaround times when changes in client investment strategies or regulations occur.

“Because industry regulations continue to expand and are getting more complex, we needed a cost-effective solution for our clients,” says Martin Dean (pictured), VP, Director of Fund Compliance at Ultimus. “Our new uComply application delivers affordable post-trade monitoring; and at the same time, we are able to control the turnaround times for any updates regarding fund investment rules.”

The recently launched app will supply fund managers with crucial reports for daily monitoring to assure that trading activities do not cause violations of regulations or fund policies. The uComply system includes a multitude of established tests and rules referencing certain regulatory guidelines, such as SEC and IRS diversification requirements, and common fund prospectus limitations. With those tests and rules, clients receive automated reports regarding their portfolio for review. The system also sends reports to the Ultimus Fund Compliance team, who, as needed, research potential breaches, maximising trade compliance oversight in this easy-to-monitor uComply structure. Additionally, uComply is fully integrated with the Ultimus’ data sources and systems, providing a single source location for all fund compliance research and analysis.

“Ultimus strives to support our clients in every aspect of their business,” says Gary Tenkman, COO and Managing Director at Ultimus. “Our ability to create a comprehensive tool for our client’s compliance programs further enhances our best-in-class service model. We look forward to continuing the development of these programs and providing valuable solutions for all of our clients.”
